Unlike most chefs, Kara didn’t grow up cooking all the delicious, gourmet dishes she has grown to love. With strong family ties on both sides of her family, year after year, Kara enjoyed sumptuous, Southern feasts prepared by her mother, grandmothers and aunties. During this time, she never learned how to cook, but she developed an appreciation and her palate for quality ingredients and well-seasoned food.
